Trinchera Blanca Foundation Doubles Down on Conservation with $25,000 Grant

Grant to Keep It Colorado advances 10-year conservation roadmap goals

Oct. 23, 2023 – GOLDEN – Keep It Colorado has received a grant of $25,000 from the Trinchera Blanca Foundation to help advance goals of Conserving Colorado: A 10-year Roadmap for the Future of Private Land Conservation, published in April 2023. The goals of Conserving Colorado are to double conservation impacts over 10 years: Double the number of acres protected; double the number of people engaged in and supporting conservation; and double the resources available to advance diverse approaches to conservation work. Trinchera Blanca Foundation’s investment will enable Keep It Colorado to support its coalition members in making progress on the implementation phase of the roadmap.

Specific use of the grant will be driven by what the conservation community identified as strategies and tactics during a comprehensive plan development process last year. These may include, for example, gathering data and tracking progress toward roadmap goals; building awareness and engagement in the conservation movement; and advancing collaboration with partners on statewide goals.

“This gift will enable us to maximize the investments the Trinchera Blanca Foundation has made in the roadmap to date and carry forward our ambitious plans on behalf of the entire conservation community,” said Amy Beatie, executive director of Keep It Colorado. “We deeply appreciate and value the foundation’s ongoing commitment to this work and to Colorado.”

Trinchera Blanca Foundation is a longtime supporter of Keep It Colorado. It was a cornerstone supporter of the 2019 relaunch of the coalition, and in 2021, the foundation generously funded the development of Conserving Colorado.

“We are deeply committed to advancing private land conservation and proud to continue our support of Keep It Colorado and its Conserving Colorado initiative to double conservation impact in the next decade,” said Ann Colley, executive director and vice president of The Moore Charitable Foundations and its affiliates, including the Trinchera Blanca Foundation.
