Regional Meeting - Front Range

  • Keep It Colorado P.O. Box 16280 Golden, CO 80402 (map)

Our annual regional meetings are an opportunity for members to come together for connection, conversation and collaboration. We hold these members-only regional meetings for the Front Range, Arkansas Basin, Northern/Central and Southwest regions.

Our Front Range regional meeting will be held in person this year - and we will also hold a virtual version on Aug. 26. We’re excited for the opportunity to connect with many of our members face-to-face after a long year of not seeing any of them, and also look forward to providing a virtual connection that will bring an increased opportunity for participation!

This page contains in-person registration info.

Location: American Mountaineering Center, 710 10th Street, Golden
Date: Tues. June 29
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

In-person Guidelines
The survey we recently conducted showed that 69% of our members would like to meet in person, with nearly half indicating that they’d like to meet in person as long as other attendees are vaccinated and CDC or local health guidelines are followed.

We heard this. So, in order to create a safe but inclusive environment, we are proposing the following guidelines:

  • In-person attendees must be vaccinated.

  • As part of the registration process, we will ask members to indicate that they’ve been vaccinated and to bring proof of vaccination to the regional meeting.

  • Masks will be optional.

Space Limitations
In-person attendance will be limited to the following based on membership level and fee structure.

  • Land trusts: May send up to 5 staff members

  • Public agencies: May send up to 3 staff members

  • Conservation champions: May send 1 staff member

  • Those attending virtually: Unlimited attendance for all membership categories

Tentative Agenda
Our primary intent with the regional meetings is to convene our members for connection, conversation and collaboration. Here is what we have planned:

Morning:

  • Networking: We’ll enjoy coffee and light snacks while we reacquaint ourselves with each other – or meet for the first time!

  • Listening: We would like to hear from members about any concerns and challenges for the upcoming year, as well as hopes and plans.

  • Exploring: We’ll initiate some brainstorming and discussion around emerging issues and opportunities – on topics ranging from recreation access to short-term land protection agreements to funding approaches.

  • Sharing and collaboration: We’ll create space for members to share other new ideas and brainstorm collaborative opportunities with each other.

Lunch:

  • We’ll provide lunch.

Afternoon:

  • Social connection + nature connection: We hope to get out on the land for a tour of a conserved property or casual hike.
