Aspen Valley Land Trust (AVLT) is seeking a passionate and experienced Stewardship Director to lead the care and long-term protection of the AVLT conserved lands throughout the Roaring Fork and Colorado River valleys.

The Stewardship Director is fundamental to AVLT’s long-term success and plays a critical role in overseeing ongoing stewardship of conserved properties. This includes primary responsibility for enforcement and management of conservation easements, oversight of the annual monitoring program, and nurturing strong relationships with landowners. This role helps ensure AVLT’s compliance with Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices and supports our strategic conservation plan.

Compensation: $70,000-$82,500

Water Systems Superintendent - Town of Windsor

As a senior leader in Public Works, the individual in this position performs supervisory, management, and highly skilled analytic and administrative work in planning, developing, and overseeing operations and maintenance along with construction projects related to municipal water distribution and wastewater collection systems. They will be responsible for the oversight and expertise on challenging, complex, and sensitive issues regarding water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Establishes and implements assigned programs, objectives, and performance standards related to regulatory, state, and federal requirements. This position provides direction for all phases of the municipal water distribution system, including but not limited to SCADA, water tanks, pressure zones, transmission lines, pump stations, hydrants, valves, and meters, along with wastewater collection system, including but not limited to lift stations, force mains, gravity mains/services, manholes, and other associated assets and facilities. Ensures the equitable delivery of vital services to protect public health and improve the quality of life of Windsor citizens.

Compensation: $85,421 - $93,963 Annually

Conservation Manager - Colorado Cattlemen's Agricultural Land Trust

The position will be based out of CCALT’s Del Norte office and will be primarily responsible for managing CCALT’s conservation easement transactions, upholding stewardship responsibilities in the region, and assisting in additive conservation activities. The position will have a secondary focus on engagement, representing CCALT within the broader regional community to advance our conservation projects and priorities, serving as staff liaison between the Southern Colorado Advisory Committee, the CCALT Board of Directors, and Staff, and supporting CCALT’s External Relations department as needed on regional events. The position will also be responsible for regularly working at and managing CCALT’s Del Norte office.

eeCorps Americorps - Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education

Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education's eeCorps program is now recruiting for AmeriCorps positions to start this September - and additional positions have just opened up! AmeriCorps members serving with the eeCorps improve outcomes in environmental stewardship and education by serving with environmental education (EE) organizations throughout Colorado. Collectively, the eeCorps makes a difference for over 25,000 learners annually through field trips, in-school and outreach programs, overnight backpacking and camping trips, skiing and biking instruction, summer camps, and so much more. 

Members of the eeCorps AmeriCorps program serve in many locations across the state of Colorado. They dedicate their term of service to building capacity of EE providers to implement the goals outlined in the Colorado Environmental Education Plan (CEEP). Members participate in projects that engage teachers, schools, and PreK-12 students such as developing and implementing new EE programs, increasing outreach efforts and impact of current programs offered, and expanding networking, support, and professional development opportunities for EE providers.

Wildfire Mitigation Specialist - Gunnison County

The Wildfire Mitigation Specialist is responsible for delivering wildfire risk mitigation information, resources and recommendations to property owners, community members and partners in Gunnison County. The position integrates and coordinates with other WRWC staff to deliver WRWC programs and resources within Gunnison County.
