Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute's Western Places | Western Spaces Conference

The annual Western Places | Western Spaces conference explores the social and development issues facing communities—from large cities to small towns—as well as concerns about managing and preserving our natural heritage. Keep It Colorado will present "Real Estate Pressures on Private Land Conservation in the COVID-19 Era" alongside several of our partners, including Patrick Gardner of The Trust for Public Land, Jeffrey Boring of Estes Valley Land Trust, Jake Jones of Crested Butte Land Trust and others.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put great pressures on the real estate market and conservation efforts in mountain communities across the west. Land trusts have stepped up to respond. Join us for a panel discussion that explores how these growing real estate pressures have resulted in land trusts pivoting and what projects have resulted as communities deal with surges of visitors and new residents buying up land. Finally, we will explore how the larger conservation community can adapt our work to meet these new realities and help communities plan for a more sustainable future. Register here.
