New Connections at the National Land Conservation Conference

In early September, the Keep It Colorado team attended Rally: the National Land Conservation Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. This annual convening by the Land Trust Alliance is an incredible opportunity for conservation professionals from across the country to share important ideas for advancing the conservation sector. From biking along the Cuyahoga River to meeting with state association colleagues, the team came away refreshed and inspired. Additionally, many coalition members presented on their innovations and ideas, including two of the Keep It Colorado staff. Programs Manager Hannah George presented on the coalition’s policy work alongside Erik Glenn, Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust, and Jason Swann, Trust for Public Land, while Special Projects Coordinator Katelyn Toigo presented on strategies for remedying tricky stewardship situations along with Erik Glenn and Jessica Jay. Staff also hosted a early morning coffee hour to meet with colleagues, and a happy hour for Coloradans and neighboring states to connect. These action-packed days in Cleveland have only made us more energized to do it all again — and support the planning team — in bringing Rally to Denver from September 16-19, 2026!
